MOSCOW, Idaho -- About 150 residents at a northern Idaho trailer park in Moscow have filed a class-action lawsuit against the owner after going for months without potable water.
The lawsuit filed Wednesday against Magar E. Magar in 2nd District Court comes about two months after the water was deemed undrinkable even if boiled.
The residents are being represented by attorneys at the Idaho Legal Aid Clinic in Moscow.
Magar has 20 days to respond.
The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality sued Magar on Feb. 6 contending Magar violated wastewater and drinking water requirements.
The agency says Magar isn't providing adequate water pressure and isn't complying with testing and reporting requirements involving the presence of coliform bacteria, chlorine and lead in the water.
That lawsuit is still pending.
