STAR, Idaho -- Sure, it may not look like much now, but the 2014 St. Jude Dream Home is already taking shape on Wildbranch Lane in the Heron River Subdivision.
Here on the corner lot, a two-story, 3,000 square-foot, nicely-appointed home will rise in the next four months.
It marks the ninth time builders, promoters, and sponsors have joined with St. Jude Children's Research hospital to give one lucky winner a new home in the Treasure Valley.
On Tuesday, those sponsors gathered for a groundbreaking to kick off the annual fundraiser.
"We are celebrating nine years you guys, isn't that awesome?" said Tara Moyer, Regional Director of the St. Jude's Dream Home Giveaway.
Home designer Joe Atalla of the Berkeley Building company told KTVB that it felt great to construct the dream home.
"So, when we design the St. Jude Dream Home, we truly want to make it a dream home," Atalla told KTVB. "Not everybody can afford a $350,000 home."
However, almost everyone can enter to win this one.
Atalla says it will be a 3,000 square-foot, two-story, four-bedroom home with a game room and upscale furnishings -- perhaps even a secret room similar to last year's dream home -- according to Atalla.
The home's beautiful setting includes more than 300 acres, 11 ponds and a lake, 70 homes, and a mile of waterfront on the Boise River. What's more, the subdivision also includes a 3,000 square foot clubhouse with a pool and two tennis courts.
Tickets for the dream home giveaway go on sale April 10 and cost $100.
The home giveaway is June 22nd.
