BOISE -- Idaho's first-ever Exergy Tour takes place May 24th through the 28th and promises and unforgettable ride for the seasoned pros who will take the challenge. During the race, cyclists will visit six host cities and pedal through diverse terrain from urban landscapes, to desert canyons, and steep mountain climbs.
The route includes overall start -- or prologue -- in Boise, as well as several "stages" in and around the towns of Nampa, Garden Valley, Crouch, Lowman, and Idaho City.
Prologue: Julia Davis Park, Boise – Thursday, May 24 (Overall Start)
The Boise prologue is a 3K time trial course that starts in Julia Davis Park, takes riders past the old Boise Train Depot, and offers views of the State Capitol.

Stage 1: Start/Finish in Nampa – Friday, May 25
Some of the most beautiful landscape in Idaho will be highlighted on this demanding course where the riders will race by scenic Lake Lowell, along the Snake River canyon lands, and through downtown Nampa.

Stage 2: Start/Finish in Kuna – Saturday, May 26 (Individual Time Trial)
Stage two is another time trial designed to test the "raw speed" of cyclists.

Stage 3: Crouch/Garden Valley to Idaho City – Sunday, May 27
Organizers call stage three the Exergy Tour's "Queen Stage." Here cyclists will race to Idaho City, tackling back-to-back mountain climbs where they'll be able to gain points and ranking.

Stage 4: Start/Finish Hyde Park, Boise – Monday, May 28 (Overall Finish)
Stage four includes a rolling hill race through the Boise foothills with little shade for competitors on their final day of grueling road-riding.
