BOISE -- Over at East Junior High in Boise, GameDay Boise hosted their annual co-ed flag football tournament, 'Turf War,' Saturday.
Twelve teams of twelve players signed up for the all-day event.
Organizers say this wasn't about being competitive, rather just a social event wrapped around sport.
"There are a lot of people getting out in the sun. It's just nice to be able to socialize, and meet other like-minded people that like sports, that don't want to be too competitive. It's just a recreational way to play sports," said Eric Leaman with GameDay Boise.
GameDay says they have sand and beach volleyball coming up this summer, along with bocce ball, dodgeball, and a scavenger league.
