BOISE -- CBS and Dish Network have reached an agreement, ending a blackout in some markets and allowing Dish customers in the Boise area to once again watch CBS content, including football games.

“We are pleased we have reached a deal with DISH, who recognizes the value that the number one Network brings to viewers in these markets,” said Ray Hopkins, President, Television Networks Distribution, CBS Corporation. “DISH customers will continue to get CBS’ must-have content, while we are also able to achieve our short and long-term economic and strategic goals.”

The companies' dispute had spurred fears that local subscribers would be unable to watch Boise State face off against Fresno State Saturday. Local CBS affiliate KBOI was not affected by the dispute, but CBS Sports Network - which will broadcast Boise State's regular-season finale on Saturday - went dark in the Boise market.

Other markets, including New York, Dallas, Los Angeles and Chicago, contended with blackouts that left millions unable to view Thanksgiving Day's Chargers-Cowboys game.

The agreement, reached late Thursday, means Dish subscribers in Boise and other cities once again have access to CBS content.
