JEROME - A third person has died days after a crash claimed two lives near Jerome, police announced on Sunday.
Idaho State Police say 23-year-old Cole A. Hatcher of Jerome died from his injuries Thursday at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical in Boise.
The crash happened at Saturday, Nov. 11 at the intersection of 150 West and 100 North, just northwest of Jerome.
Investigators say 20-year-old Shentasha Bybee of Rexburg was driving north on 150 West when she failed to yield for a stop sign and her car collided with a minivan, driven by 48-year-old Luis Ortiz Vega of Jerome.
Two passengers in Ortiz Vega's vehicle died. 44-year-old Martina Rivera Sandoval of Jerome died at the scene, and a juvenile later died at the hospital, police said.
Several people from both vehicles were flown to Saint Alphonsus in Boise, while others were taken to St. Luke's in Jerome.
Hatcher was a passenger in Bybee's vehicle, police said.
ISP is continuing to investigate the crash.
