Tuesday was World Diabetes Day and people packed the blue turf at Boise State last night to show their support.
The event brings together people whose lives have been touched by diabetes in some way.
Roughly 10 percent of adults in Idaho have diabetes, according to the American Diabetes Association.
“Unfortunately diabetes is just a growing epidemic in our country and across the world, and so having the opportunity to come together and show the impact that it has across, not only our state but our country and the world, it speaks volumes,” said Ashley Rundle, health program specialist.
“The more we're able to get together, and the more we're able to talk about it, the more we’ll see opportunities down the line to gain support.”
The group also posed for a photo on the blue turf.
Everyone joined together in a circle, which is the symbol for World Diabetes Day.
