A Boise man suspected in a "road rage" incident Saturday afternoon is in the Canyon County Jail, after being arrested along Interstate 84 in Nampa.

Gregory C. Cessna, 59, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of malicious injury to property.

At 1:55 p.m. Saturday, Boise Police officers received a report about the incident near the Orchard overpass.

The victims told police that a man in another vehicle had shown them a handgun, then they heard a loud bang from something hitting the side of the car. Police say that sound turned out to be the suspect throwing a rock at the car -- and that no gunshots were fired.

Boise Police found a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle heading west on I-84 near Meridian Road. Police stopped that vehicle near the Northside Boulevard exit in Nampa.

Idaho State Police closed westbound I-84 in the area near the traffic stop for about 15 minutes while officers took Cessna into custody.
