BOISE -- A Boise non-profit that helps area veterans has won an award from the Department of Defense.
Vets 4 Success operates a thrift store which provides funding, jobs and outreach for men and women who've served in the military.
It just opened last month on Franklin Road near Curtis Road.
Right now, the store employs five veterans and one veteran's wife, and they hope to expand.
"Our goal is to add another store, that's our short term goal to employ more veterans and our long term goal is to have a homeless shelter and additional stores on top of that," said Robert Gillespie, Vets 4 Success.
Vets 4 Success received the "Seven Seals Award" from Idaho Employer Support for Guard and Reserves.
