KUNA -- We are celebrating our veterans today and saying 'thank you.'
At Kuna High School, they are doing the same thing, but they did it one day early.
The school held an assembly Tuesday, with the presentation of colors, national anthem, and a "missing man" table honoring our nation's POWs and MIAs.
Four students even read poems they crafted themselves for the special occasion.
"What can anyone say while you're sitting here? While so many never made it back. We can't say we know what it feels like, we can't say we know what war was like. Thank you for your service, for your sacrifice, for your determination. Thank you for serving your country, for knowing your duty, for fulfilling your honor. What can anyone say? Let's start with thank you, and go from there," read Hayley Johnson, a junior at Kuna High School.
This is the fourth year the high school has held a Veterans' Day assembly.
