BOISE -- The Idaho Vandals and their fans gathered in downtown Boise Tuesday night.
Hundreds of Vandals went to the Boise Centre on the Grove for the Humanitarian Bowl Pep Rally.
The University of Idaho President Duane Nellis attended the rally, along with mascot Joe Vandal.
There are fans, alumni, the spirit squad and the entire university marching band as well.
There was brief remarks and a lot of great music.
We got a chance today to spend some time with both teams.
This morning U of I football players visited patients at St. Luke's in Boise. Players signed autographs and spent time with excited fans. Patients in the St. Luke's Children's Hospital received autographed footballs and T-shirts.
"I'm not from Boise, I know Boise is our rivals. I didn't think there would be as much Vandal fans out here. So for me to get someone from Boise to say 'Go Vandals' it makes me feel good," said Faleoga Faumui, U of I football player.
At St. Alphonsus, football players from Bowling Green visited patients as well.
Some patients are gearing up to go to the Humanitarian Bowl tomorrow.
Bowling Green Coach Dave Clawson says it's important for his team to take time and do something like this.
"The town has really rolled out the red carpet, I should say orange carpet as a welcome here. When a town reaches out like this I think it's important to give back a little bit," said Clawson.
Tickets to the Roady's Humanitarian Bowl are still available.
Staff at the BSU ticket office say almost 26,000 tickets have been sold.
The east side of the stadium will have the majority of Vandal fans.
The west side will be a mixture of Bowling Green fans and sponsors.
Tickets to the game cost between $18 and $50.
The ticket office closed at 4:30 p.m. today, but it will reopen at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
NewsChannel 7 will have all your Humanitarian Bowl pre-game coverage.
We will be live at Bronco Stadium Wednesday morning -- and don't forget, we'll also bring you a special pre-game show at 2 p.m.
The game airs on ESPN at 2:30 p.m.
