TWIN FALLS -- A teenager has pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder in the April 1 shooting of Shoshone businessman Craig Hadden.
Michael Cannon, one of three people charged in the shooting, entered his plea Monday as part of a plea agreement. Idaho prosecutors agreed to drop a lesser weapons charge against the boy.
Cannon was 16 when he shot Hadden four times outside the man's home in south-central Idaho. Hadden survived.
Prosecutors have charged Hadden's former daughter-in-law, Traci Hadden, with aiding and abetting in the attempted murder, accusing her of planning the shooting.
Her 15-year-old son, Blue Hadden, is charged with accessory to commit a felony and grand theft.
Police say Cannon, Blue Hadden's friend, shot the 61-year-old and together they disposed of the evidence.
