BOISE -- It's been nine months since Special Olympics athletes from around the world came to Idaho for the World Winter Games.

A symbol of the games is welcoming visitors once again.

Special Olympics athletes and supporters gathered at noon Monday for a dedication ceremony at the Boise Airport, where the cauldron now has a permanent home.

Artist Irene Deely made the cauldron at the Woman of Steel studio in Garden City.

It is now located on the west end of the terminal.
