ONTARIO, Ore. -- Oregon State Police say a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 84 near Ontario has resulted in an Oregon man's arrest after a trooper discovered more than 10 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.
Around 2 p.m. an OSP senior trooper stopped a 1996 Cadillac displaying Oregon license plates for a speed violation on eastbound I-84. The driver was identified as Andrew Douglas Rose-Gonzalez, 26, from Aloha, Oregon.
Police discovered over 10 pounds of marijuana concealed inside the car’s trunk. The estimated value of the seized marijuana is $25,000.
Rose-Gonzalez was arrested and booked into the Malheur County Jail for unlawful possession, distribution and manufacture of a controlled substance - marijuana.
The investigation is continuing.
