CASCADE, Idaho -- One person was killed and two others seriously injured after a two vehicle crash on State Highway 55 Saturday.
It happened at approximately 9:39 a.m., at milepost 123 near Cascade, Idaho.
Amberlie Fowler, 38, of Cascade, Idaho, was traveling northbound on SH 55 in a 1993 Chevrolet pickup when she lost control of the vehicle, fishtailed and crossed the center line. She collided head on with a 2000 Ford Windstar van being operated by Ronald Andrews, 67, of Kooskia, Idaho.
Andrews' passenger, Nancy Andrews, 61, of Kooskia, Idaho, was pronounced dead at the scene. Fowler and Andrews were taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with serious injuries.
Fowler and Ronald Andrews were both wearing seatbelts. Nancy Andrews was not wearing a seatbelt.
Ice covered roads were a factor in this crash.
