BOISE - A new documentary on the evolution of Sun Valley is set to premiere on KTVB.  The Sun Valley Story will air Saturday December 31st on KTVB and KTFT at 1 p.m.

The two-hour documentary features dozens of historic clips, interviews and more that outlines the evolution of the Sun Valley area from a sleepy mountain town to big time destination in all four seasons.

Former CBS, Fox and NBC sports announcer Tim Ryan narrates the wide-ranging documentary that gives a fun inside glimpse of Idaho's most glamorous destination. The Sun Valley Resort is celebrating its 75th anniversary, and in those years it has become well-known for its appeal to the stars and locals alike - from Marilyn and Arnold to Olympians like Picabo and more.  From the first chairlift to snowmaking and skating, the documentary helps bring the real Sun Valley story to life.

The film is produced by David Butterfield, who scouted through local archives and pieced together the show through interviews and first-hand accounts.

Watch a preview of the documentary below - and join us Saturday for the show!
