SANDPOINT - A northern Idaho man is being charged with misdemeanor inattentive driving after a Dec. 14 collision involving three vehicles on U.S. Highway 95.

Court documents show 28-year-old Lucas James Ginter, of Bonner County, will be arraigned on Jan 15.

Idaho State Police say Ginter was driving a Chevrolet Camaro traveling in the southbound lane of the highway when the vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into a van in the other lane.

The driver of a pickup traveling behind the van pulled off the road into a ditch to avoid the collision.
