RUPERT, Idaho -- An 18-year-old Paul man has been sentenced to three months in jail for misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.

The Times-News reports that 5th District Magistrate Mike Hodges sentenced Braun Catmull on Monday, ordering him to pay child support for 26-year-old Steven Damron's four children.

Prosecutors say that on Jan. 3, Catmull crashed his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado into a 1984 Toyota SR5 driven by Damron of Burley. Damron was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene; Catmull spent 11 days in the hospital with a broken neck and internal injuries.
