TWIN FALLS -- A Shoshone woman is charged with burglary after $5,000 in cash and valuables were taken from a Twin Falls residence where she worked as a housekeeper.

The Times-News reports 47-year-old Celia Perez was arraigned Monday in 5th District Court in Twin Falls. Court records say she was jailed on $10,000 bond. An immigration hold was placed on her.

A Twin Falls couple called police Jan. 15. The woman said she recorded the serial number on a $20 bill in her son's bank and installed video surveillance in his room. Police say the video shows Perez taking something from the bank.

The police report says as officers were handcuffing Perez, she tried to throw a $20 bill on the ground. The serial number matched the one that had been the boy's bank.
