ELMORE COUNTY -- Three Idaho hunters who did not return home last night as expected have been found safe.

Search crews, including the Army National Guard, were searching rugged and steep terrain in Elmore County for the hunters.

The group left to go deer hunting on horseback Saturday.  When they didn't return home Wednesday, a family member called to report them missing.

The hunters' horse trailer was found on Middle Fork Road, near the North Fork of Boise River, which helped search crews focus their search in that area.

Deputies say they did have a cell phone but they may not have had service where they were supposed to be hunting.

The group consisted of a husband and wife from Robie Creek and a family friend from Eagle. Their names have not yet been released.
