MERIDIAN -- Meridian Police arrested a Nampa woman Saturday afternoon after they said she waved a gun at another car.
Around 12:15 p.m. police say Lindsay Wanman, 19, was driving north on Eagle Road when she pulled up behind a car going below
the posted speed limit.
Police say traffic in the area justified the car traveling below the speed limit.
Officers say Wanman then began to tailgate the other car.
"The vehicle in front of them wanted them to go around them, so they slowed down and the driver of this vehicle here got upset over that,” said Sgt. Stacy Arnold with the Meridian Police Department. “And as (Wanman) passed them, she pulled a pellet gun out from underneath the seat and was waving it around at the people that were inside the car that was driving slower than she wanted to."
The driver of the other car, not knowing the gun was a pellet gun, called police and followed the car.
Police found the suspects car near Eagle and Fairview.
There, 10 police cars performed what's called a high risk stop - shutting down the westbound lanes of Fairview from Eagle to Hickory.
Wanman now faces charges of aggravated assault.
