BOISE - A car chase, foot chase, two damaged cars, and now one man is behind bars.

It was about 8:30 Monday night when an undercover police officer noticed a stolen car, with fake plates in Garden City.

Police say 28-year old Joseph Ouellette of Boise was behind the wheel, heading south on Orchard.

He then turned west on Fairview.

The undercover officer called for back up while they got in position in front of the stolen vehicle.

Once a marked police officer turned on his overhead lights, police say Ouellette made an attempt to get away.

He jumped a curb near Cole Road, crashed into the side of a police car, then crashed into a parked car.

Police say that is when Ouellette got out of the car and tried running away.

Ouellette was arrested near the Gold's Gym parking lot.

He now faces charges of aggravated battery on an officer, eluding police, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
