BOISE -- Two Boise schools were put on lockdown for around 20 minutes this morning after a report of a person with a weapon near Capital High School.

Boise Police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower says around 11 a.m., someone driving on Milwaukee Street reported seeing a cyclist who appeared to be carrying some type of weapon.  15 police officers responded to the high school and nearby Valley View Elementary School.

Both schools were put in lockdown as a precautionary measure.

Hightower says officers conducted an intensive search of the area, but did not find the cyclist or anything out of the ordinary.

Both schools were taken off lockdown at 11:20 a.m.
