Caldwell gang member arrested and charged with robbing local supermarket

 

CALDWELL -- Caldwell Police have arrest a local gang member in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at the Paul's Market in Caldwell on Nov. 11, 2009.

Investigators from the Metro Violent Crimes Task Force, Caldwell Police Department Street Crimes Unit and the FBI Swat team took Justin Gamez, 20, of Caldwell, into custody at a residence in the 300 block of Blaine in Caldwell on Tuesday afternoon. 

Police say Gamez is suspected of pulling a knife on a store employee after being seen stealing merchandise. 

Gamez is a documented gang member and booked into the Canyon County Jail on a felony charge of robbery.
