IDAHO FALLS -- Paul Ezra Rhoades was convicted of killing three people in Eastern Idaho in 1987, and sentenced to death for two of the murders. The execution is scheduled for 8:10 Friday morning at the Idaho Department of Corrections facility in South Ada County.
But at this time, many have chosen to focus on the lives Rhoades cut short almost 25 years ago.
Stacy Baldwin, Nolan Haddon, and Susan Michelbacher... not just victims, but people. Thursday night, the families of those people are feeling the pain of their loss all over again.
Wes Haddon sits in his Eastern Idaho home, thinking about his brother, Nolan Haddon, who died on March 17th, 1987.
"I remember talking to him the night before it did happen," said Haddon.
Nolan was working at a convenience store in Idaho Falls, when Paul Rhoades came in, and shot him five times. After lying in the walk-in cooler overnight, Haddon died at the hospital.
"I remember when it did happen, I pretty much put it to the side," said Wes Haddon. "I mean, it was hard to deal with."
'Hard to deal with' the death of his brother and friend.
"We did a lot of stuff together, like camping, hunting, fishing," said Haddon.
But after mourning and moving on, Wes is forced to relive the tragedy again, on the eve of Rhoades' execution.
"I'm just, I'm really tired of hearing about it," said Haddon.
'Tired', and ready for an old wound to heal again.
"My feelings are, relief that it's over," said Haddon. "It's really hard to bring it back 25 years later."
Meanwhile, Nolan's parents, Junior and Julie Haddon, made the trip from Eastern Idaho to Boise on Thursday, and say they will attend the execution on Friday.
