BOISE -- Some sad news to report, an 82-year-old Boise woman rescued from her burning home Wednesday morning has died.

Two Ada County Sheriff's deputies found Esther Savalina on her bedroom floor at her home at 5319 Missoula Way in Boise.  The house was engulfed in flames when they arrived.  She was carried out through a bedroom window and taken to St. Alphonsus.

The sheriff's office reports that she passed away at the hospital shortly after noon Thursday.

The coroner has not released an official cause of death.

The deputies, Carl Olson and Sgt. Joe Wright, along with Savalina's grandson who lives with her, all suffered from smoke inhalation.

The investigation into Savalina's death and the fire continue.
