BOISE -- It may seem pretty obvious to most living in southern Idaho that Boise is home to some of the most devoted, and loyal college football players, and fans.
It is the famous blue turf, the fans, and the team that continues to prove themselves as the one to beat, that helped to put Boise on Budget Travel Magazine's list of "America's Top College Football Towns."
Boise was second on the list, after Austin Texas, home of the Longhorns. Following Boise, was Eugene, Oregon and Knoxville, Tennessee.
Not only was Boise featured because of its' love for college football, but the article also mentioned a lot of the cultural things one can do while visiting the City of Trees.
Those with strong ties to the Basque country should be pleased. The Basque Museum and Cultural Center received quite the plug from the magazine as well.
Thanks to the publicity the Boise State Broncos are pulling in, it seems the rest of the nation is learning why Idaho is arguably the nation's gem -- and why the City of Trees is a vacation destination not to be overlooked.
