BOISE -- The final touches were made today on a float that will honor a Boise woman in the Tournament of Roses Parade to be held on Jan. 2, 2012, in Pasadena, Calif.
Lacey Haye was a student at Boise State University when she died in a motorcycle crash.
As an organ and tissue donor Lacey was able to save the lives of two people and restore sight to two others.
Lacey's mom shared a portion of a letter from a man who was saved thanks to her choice to be an organ donor.
“Sometimes when I just feel like smiling and I know it’s Lacey and I think he's right. Lacey chose to be an organ donor not once but twice and we honor that decision. So I ask when you're running around on this busy holiday season that you remember Lacey and what the life represented which was living life to the fullest, loving well and giving to others.”
Lacey will be honored on the Donate Life float during the parade. At the ceremony Friday her family finished the floragraph that will adorn the float.
