IDAHO FALLS, Idaho -- One woman was killed and seven others were injured, including five children, in a two-vehicle crash in eastern Idaho.
Police say 66-year-old Jeanne Reinwand of Parker died Saturday at the scene.
Police say 42-year-old Charles Hanson of Chester lost control of his Ford van while traveling east on Highway 20 about 10 a.m. and collided with a Toyota pickup truck being by 77-year-old Jack Reinwand.
Jack Reinwand was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where he was being treated in the intensive care unit Sunday evening.
The Post Register reports that Hanson and his five children, ages 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16, were all transported to the medical center with what the Idaho State Police termed "non-life-threatening" injuries.
Police say seat belts were in use and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
