Dr. Floyd earned his medical degree at the University of Florida, then trained at the University of Utah and the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Program. He completed spine fellowships at the Texas Back Institute and Johns Hopkins University, where he currently holds a teaching position.
Dr. Floyd was awarded the North American Spine Society (NASS) traveling fellowship to spine centers throughout North America and Europe.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of NASS and the Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS).
In 2001 Dr. Floyd was elected by his peers to "Best Doctors," a national organization that recognizes leading physicians.
