I was out in my yard gardening near Purple Sage golf course when I heard a strange noise. When I looked up I saw a black cloud moving toward my. I soon realized it was a swarm of bees. They landed in my cedar tree in a buzzing ball. Not long after a man was driving by and stopped to ask if he could take them. I was happy to let him! He captured the queen and several of the other bees in a bee box and will come collect them tonight at dusk. He said he'd bring us a jar of honey and we think that's a sweet deal.

This photo was taken in December of 2009 by my husband when he was on the way to chukar hunt with our two dogs. This does happen in years when we have lots of ice in the river, but this paticular Ice Circle was unusually large. It was shared all over the internet without our knowledge for over two years until a friend saw it, unaware that it was our photo, and shared it on our FB page. We started geting phone calls about this photo and the "rest of the story" can be read at the following link. We also were contacted by a newspaper in Montana, who wrote up a story in their paper. What an amazing ride!!
