I do not consider myself a "Master Gardener" nor did I take any special classes or graduate with a degree in horticulture but, I have a love of Gardening. If you love something, it is easy to put everything you have into it...and that's just what I've done for the last 4 years, piece by piece.
I moved to Kuna, Idaho in December of 2005. I've dreamed, for most my life, to have a garden that I could truly call "My Garden Oasis". It wasn't pretty, to start, but you have to start somewhere. Piece by wood piece, by stone, by plant, by....well, you get the picture. It has taken me 4 years on a tight budget to finally LOVE my garden. And although I am far from feeling finished, I am happy.
My Husband built me a harbor, a green house and all the boxes AND since I knew exactly how I wanted each and every stepping stone to look, I laid every single one, by myself. I lined the boxes with plastic, filled them with dirt and plants...used anything and everything to construct poles, for most all the plants to grow up, and watch effortlessly as the plants grow several inches a day. I spend a minimum of 2 hours in my garden, every day. Not because there is a lot to do but, to enjoy all the amazing changes a plant can make in one single day ~ I truly love gardening and hope this will inspire at least one person to take it up!
