I am terribly heartsick over the action of the Payette County Prosecutor's office in pursuing me over ownership of wolf hybrids. I have owned, bred, sold, handled and loved wolves since 1982. In July 2005, Payette County passed as exotic animal law forbidding the ownership of wolves/wolf hybrids, ferrets, some tropical fish (the aggressive ones), snakes, and other assorted wild life. Prior to this law, my wolf hybrids were considered outside the kennel laws of the county and the Planning and Zoning Commission declined to show any and all jurisdiction over the wolves in the county for 14 years. Now, I am facing 6 misdeamnor counts because 6 of my animals were born after this law went into effect. My animals are also facing death, because I can't keep them in Payette County nor can I afford to move from my property which is totally paid off. I want some compromise that will still alow my continuation of my business, Midnight Wolf Den which has been in existence since 1984. As far as I know, I have follow3edall the rules and laws concerning wolves/ wolf hybrids kept in agricultural and domestication.
