Watching the conveyor system of helicopters dropping water, with surgical precision, upon the fire lines of the Karney fire. I viewed a home nicely set upon a ridge top, licked by the flames. Then with a rhythmic "whop! whop! whop!" a behemoth of a helicopter advanced upon the spot, and circled once, then twice, and dropped its payload upon the home. With is cargo dumped the chopper flew off, without looking back in satisfaction, to draw more water from the nearby reservoir. The home looked safe, and indeed, on the chopper's next trip, didn't drop any more water. One giant water dump, seemed to have saved the property.
