This fire looks to be started by a lightening strike. We saw the lightening strike then shortly after the fire flared up. The smoke quickly billowed into the sky, proving it was no small fire. I decided to get a closer look and ended up with some amazing pictures. The fire grew rapidly as the winds picked up and soon had scorched several thousand acres. The firefighters, small aircraft and air tankers worked in unison to gain the upper hand over the explosive fire.
