Here are some candid shots of the Lucky Fire blazing off Hwy 21 on July 22, 2012 at about 3 pm. We were returning from a weekend in Stanley, ID and were halted by fire crews and county employees for nearly 2 hours. We enjoyed watching two helicopters battle the fire with water dipped from Lucky Peak. Two or three guide planes led tankers across the sky dropping red fire retardant.
