When a helicopter flew by my house with a water bucket, I knew something was amiss. After seeing smoke beyond a mountain, my kids and I took a short drive to check it out from across the valley. The same mountainside in Wilderness Ranch that burned during the August 2010 fire (from which I also submitted pictures) was on fire again. Thankfully, because of the previous fire, there was not as much fuel to consume, so the fire was put under control quickly. After filling up in the reservoir, the helicopter released well-aimed buckets of water while fire crews worked above and below the fire. My 12-year-old daughter took this picture.
