Through the winter the beams / log support of the Eyrie Gazebo in Kathryn Alberton park has nearly fallen down.
By looking on the calender on the Park & Rec website for this park and gazebo there are many weddings scheduled for this location. Looks like new couples starting out and a few realizing a second time around... This means all these loving couples have to scramble to get an outdoor facility to have their "Dreams come true" for their dream ceremony.
It will take some engineeing to raise the logs back in place and securely & safely repair with supporting steel beams and fasten them in place for those planning these special events of "Dreams" to be realized. We are one of those couples.
Parks and Rec has baracades up and a sign to route people over to the other gazebo over a quarter mile away from this very picturesque setting.
Wondering if there are some structural engineers and volunteers to help get this gorgeous place back to use very quicly so that scores of couples can realize their dreams in this setting before summer sets in. Parks & Rec may not have a lot of money and perhaps may not have the materials to do a complete replace. A complete replace will take weeks and a repair of lifting beams, placing I beam support underneath and securing them in place should take at most 2 weeks with proper manpower and equipment.
