The news said we could see the northern lights out away from the cities so I went up near Pine/Featherville in the higher elevation to watch for them. I drove around at at dusk seen nothing that looked like what I was hoping for. I was looking for red, green, and purple looking clouds moving, NO such luck. I was out until 3 am and saw these white moving clouds that seem to sparkle, I took several shots while fingers froze, trying to manual focus in the dark and at times listening to the wolves howl, this was a wonderful experience, thanks KTVB for inspiring me to get out and try.
