Over 200 people gathered at Ann Morrison Memorial Park Saturday Sept. 10, 2011 for the first annual Purple Stride 5K walk in Boise. The event is part of a national campaign by the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to raise awareness and generate funding for cancer research. Some of the participants in Saturday's walk were pancreatic cancer survivors while others were there to honor loved ones.
