Hi, my name is Shantel Bugby. I'm so excited to have this opportunity to audition for The Voice. I have been singing since I was 3 years old when my parents enrolled me in The Rainbow Singing Company. That's when I fell in love with music and I have been singing ever since. I sing at every opportunity, whether it be in the community, in front of family or on stage. Music reminds me of family and when I'm singing, I feel like I am home.
I love to entertain and have tried out for music shows and always enjoy the experiences. If I am chosen for The Voice it will be a dream come true for me. I so badly want to make my family proud. When I was younger I was singing in the kitchen and she came in and she thought it was the radio. It felt amazing to have the support of my Grandmother and my family. I see my voice as a gift and I want to share that gift with the world.
I graduated from BYU-Idaho in Elementary Education and currently work in advertising and modeling. I have 2 of my own websites. One is for modeling www.shantelbugby.com, I also teach modeling. The second website is www.earnit2burnit.com, which is a coupon and good deals website. I can't resist getting good deals! Both are integrated on my Facebook page "Earnit2burnit". As you can see, I'm a very busy person, I have a lot of energy and I'm always ready to go.
My husband and I have been married just over 7 years and have a Lab named Zoe and a cat named Boston. We have a number of videos on youtube where I sing and Tom plays the ukulele. I have written music of my own and am working on producing videos for them. Recently I was approached, based on my youtube videos, to record music and lyrics that accompanies a book that is about to be published. I have been asked to sing the National Anthem at various events in the community: The Homecoming football game, High School graduations, Cinco De Mayo Celebration in Caldwell, ID, and the National Speed Boat Races in Marsing, just to name a few.
I grew up in Nampa so I love to travel and see the world. I am adventurous, witty and versatile. I love trying new things. I am an adrenaline junkie and love having fun. I'm a hard worker and enjoy being around friends and family. I believe in constantly reinventing who I am because it keeps me fresh, current and keeps me moving in new directions. I try to always deliver something unexpected and I live my life every day to inspire others. I try to capture attention and then maintain that attention by being creatively different. I try to learn something from every experience I have. Those are just a few things have made me the person I am today.
