Canyon County Republican Women in conjunction with Canyon County Republicans won Grand Prize on Saturday May 21st in Nampa Exchange Club's Parade America, which honors Armed Forces Day. The theme was "America the Beautiful". Our inspiration came from the 3rd verse which say:
O beautiful for heroes prov'd
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life.
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine.
We feel America would not be as beautiful as it is today without the continued sacrifice of those in our armed forces.
