The Treasure Valley Red Hatters hosted Idaho's sixth annual convention at the Doubletree Riverside with 300 fun loving, enthusiastic women wearing red, purple, Mardi Gras, and clown costumes.

Friday night began with a Carnival complete with fun, games, prizes, food and clowns. Saturday started with a continental breakfast, followed by crafting classes, games, a tour of the Capitol Building and shopping at Boise Town Square for those die-hard red hat shopaholics. After a day of activities and fellowship everyone returned to the hotel for an exciting “Mardi Gras” night to remember. No one parties like a Red Hatter! More Fun was in store Sunday morning with a Clown Breakfast. Definitely a time for fun and frolic! After a hearty breakfast and lots of laughter and hugs, there were fond farewells and Happy Hatting good-bys.

The Red Hat Society began as a result of a few women deciding to greet middle age with humor. Members believe silliness is the comedy relief of life, and since we are all in it together, we might as well join red-gloved hands and go for the gusto together. Underneath the frivolity, we share a bond of affection, forged by common life experiences and a genuine enthusiasm for wherever
life takes us next.

ARE YOU A WOMAN OVER 50? DOES IT SOUND LIKE WAY TOO MUCH FUN? ARE YOU A RED HATTER? NOT A RED HATTER?
