Warm weather and rain fall from the last few days has caused the Malheur river between Ontario,OR and Vale,Or to flood over the river banks threatening a Yurt and another home. The river rose fast and on Tuesday it was at the highest making it un-passable to enter the yurt on foot. A kayak was used to get the necessary belongings out of the dwelling. The residents asked a friend from Horseshoe Bend, Id for help to move a jeep out of the flooded waters. He showed up with a lifted custom fourrunner with 37in monster tires. He towed the jeep out of the flowing flood waters with no problem. The water was up to the fourrunner's doors in some places. The residents are staying with family members as the water recedes back.
