Not only did the Autumn Equinox (first day of Fall) happen yesterday, but it also just happened to be on the day the Moon was close to being full. The full Moon was actually tonight, but it was so close that you might not have noticed a difference.

I took the first photo this morning, just before the Moon set over the Owyhee Mountains. The second photo was taken just after the Moon rose over the hill by my home.

If you look closely at both photos, you'll notice the difference in the Moon's appearance. These photos were taken just over 12 hours apart, yet the rotation on the visible face of the Moon is quite noticable.
