BOISE -- Boise's monthly food truck rally will once again welcome eaters of all ages to a select location in the Treasure Valley.
May's rally will take place on Friday, May 11th, at 4th and Grove Streets in downtown Boise from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The rally will include ten food trucks.
Organizers previously said the rally would take place in Meridian at the High Desert Harley store. However, because attendance at the monthly rally has been growing so rapidly, rally organizer Sheila Francis said it had to be moved.
"Due to the popularity of the rally, the location we selcted would not have been adequate," Francis said, citing parking and other issues.
Close to 3,000 folks came to April's food truck rally held at the MK Nature Center in Boise.
Francis is also the marketing director for Garden City-based Payette Brewing.
Friday's rally will debut several new food trucks and vendors.
Francis said May's new offerings will include "Lawerence Gridiron," a food truck that offers a Boise cheese steak with a cheddar ale sauce; along with Basilio's Tacos -- a food truck that includes traditional Mexican tacos.
Other new vendors include Tiki Shave Ice, and Kuna-based Indian Creek Winery, which plans to offer select varieties of white and red wine for $4 to $5 a glass.
Other food trucks that will be available for diners include:
- A Cupcake Paradise
- Archie's Place
- B29 Streatery
- Big Daddy BBQ
- Brown Shuga Soul Food
- Calle 75
Payette Brewing will serve $4 beer varieties including Mutton Buster Pale, and Outlaw IPA.
