BOISE -- The Discovery Center of Idaho is teaming up with Payette Brewing to offer a hands-on science event for grownups who are curious about the science of suds.
Here, folks can watch as master brewers showcase their techniques and tricks for creating delcisiou varieties of beer.
The event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. tonight (Wednesday), and will include representatives from Payette Brewing, Crooked Fence Brewing and the Boise Home Brewers Club.
Also on tap: interactive shows that have 'fun' with the science behind brewing while giving participants a chance to learn a little about the process. Another bonus: Ada County Sherriff's Dept. officers will offer free breathalyzer tests and their famous beer goggle activities.
Participants can also enter to win a chance at having one of the local breweries make 48 bottles of personalized beer containing ingredients that they select.
Tickets are $10 at the door ($8 for members), and include a token that can be redeemed for beer, wine, root beer from BuckSnort or ice cream from Ben & Jerry's.
