Over the course of your lifetime 1 out of 20 adults will develop colorectal cancer and that risk actually increases with age. All adults age 50 and over should be screened and some groups should start as early as age 45. Screening tests find polyps that can be removed to reduce the risk. There is a 95% survival rate if colon cancer is found early. For more information you can call the Idaho Careline at 2-1-1.
