Colon cancer is a very treatable form of cancer in both men and women, but it must be identified early and the sooner the treatment begins the better your chances.  Individuals should discuss with their doctors the need for a colonoscopy after they turn 50 years old.  March is colon cancer awareness month and a free colon disease screening kit is available by calling 2-1-1.
