Chef Lou's Breakfast Pear Pie

Ingredients:

1 Egg, well beaten
4 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
1 Cup Half & Half
1-1/2 cups Biscuit Mix(See biscuit mix recipe below)
½ cup sugar
½ cup sliced almonds
2 Pears, cored and sliced into wedges(You can sub apples)
2 tablespoons sugar
¾ teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
2 tablespoons butter

Method:
Beat together the egg, oil, and ½ & ½. Add the biscuit mix, sugar, and nuts, beating just until all ingredients are incorporated. Pour into 9 inch cake or pie pan. Mix pear slices with the 2 tablespoons sugar. Arrange pear slices on top of pie. Dot with the butter. Sprinkle with the pie spice. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit for a few minutes until slicing into wedges. Serve warm.

Dry Biscuit Mix
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
